ANENG RT01 Automotive Relay Tester
Automotive Relay Tester
4-Pin & 5-Pin Compatible · 12V / 24V · GOOD or DEAD in Seconds
Diagnose a bad relay before you spend money on a new one. The ANENG RT01 clips onto your vehicle's 12V or 24V battery, tests both 4-pin and 5-pin automotive relays, and shows GOOD or DEAD with a clear LED indicator — no multimeter, no swapping relays one by one, no guesswork.
Why test the relay first?
A relay is an electrically operated switch. It carries the high-current load for functions like the horn, headlights, cooling fan, fuel pump, wiper motor, AC compressor clutch, starter circuit and fog lights, while the cabin switch only sends a small control signal. When a relay wears out, those functions go intermittent or stop working entirely.
- Horn, fog lights, fan motors and fuel pumps that cut in and out
- Wipers, windows and accessory controls that fail without a clear cause
- Headlights or the cooling fan dropping out under load
Without a dedicated tester, most DIY owners do two things: remove a known-good relay from another circuit and swap it in to see if the problem moves, or pull out a multimeter and chase the circuit by hand. Both take time, neither confirms the relay itself. The ANENG RT01 checks the relay directly, at the bench or next to the vehicle, in a few seconds.
Built for quick, confident relay checks
Tests both 4-pin and 5-pin relays
One selector switch covers the two most common relay types found in cars, trucks, SUVs, vans and motorcycles.
Instant GOOD / DEAD readout
The green GOOD or red DEAD LED shows relay health at a glance, so you can stop removing relays and trial-swapping them around the fuse box.
12V and 24V compatible
Works on standard 12V passenger vehicles and 24V commercial trucks, vans, boats and RVs.
Digital battery voltage display
A red LED screen reads live battery voltage next to the relay test, so you can check battery condition in the same step.
Simple color-coded clip hookup
Red (+) and black (–) alligator clips connect straight to the battery terminals; no wiring, no adapter, no separate multimeter required.
Pocket-sized and kit-ready
The compact hard-shell unit fits a glove box, toolbox or roadside kit; includes the tester, red/black clip leads, user manual and color gift box.
Three steps to a clear answer
Clip to the battery
Connect the red lead to the positive terminal and the black lead to the negative terminal of the vehicle battery.
Select the pin type and insert the relay
Flip the 4PIN/5PIN switch to match your relay, then seat the relay into the matching socket on the tester.
Press TEST and read the result
Press the round TEST button. The green GOOD LED means the relay works; the red DEAD LED means it has failed.
Built for the relays on the vehicle you drive
4-pin relays (SPST, normally open)
The most common layout for horns, fog lights, fan motors and fuel pumps.
5-pin relays (SPDT, change-over)
Used where the relay switches between two circuits, such as some wiper, window or accessory controls.
12V systems
Cars, SUVs, vans, pickup trucks, motorcycles and classic vehicles.
24V systems
Light commercial trucks, larger vans, delivery vehicles, boats and RVs.
Standard 4-pin and 5-pin automotive relays. Unusual relay layouts, specialty industrial relays and high-current starter solenoids are not covered by this tool.
Battery voltage readout, built in
Alongside the relay test, the unit's red LED screen shows live battery voltage while the clips are connected. It gives you a quick sanity check on battery condition during the same diagnostic step.
LIVE BATTERY VOLTAGE · RED LED SCREENThe display provides a quick battery-condition check alongside the relay test; no measurement accuracy rating is stated for this tool.

Frequently asked questions
Does this tool read OBD diagnostic trouble codes?
No. The RT01 tests relays and reads battery voltage only. It does not connect to the vehicle ECU and does not read or clear diagnostic trouble codes.
Which relay types does it support?
Standard 4-pin (SPST, normally open) and 5-pin (SPDT, change-over) automotive relays. Unusual relay layouts, specialty industrial relays and high-current starter solenoids are not covered by this tool.
How is the tester powered?
It draws power directly from the vehicle battery through the included alligator clips. No internal batteries or separate charger are required.
What systems should I keep it away from?
This tool is designed for 12V and 24V automotive electrical systems only. Do not use it on household mains voltage, high-voltage vehicle systems, or industrial power circuits.
Safety note: For 12V and 24V automotive electrical systems only. Do not connect to household mains voltage, high-voltage vehicle systems or industrial power circuits. Follow the vehicle service manual when testing circuits under the hood.
Check the relay before you replace it
One small hand-held tester removes the guesswork from intermittent electrical problems on cars, trucks, SUVs, vans and RVs.
